Ely Place Partners is having an enjoyable time in Paris this week at IPEM 2023, meeting up with industry friends new and old, attending insightful discussions, and sharing our knowledge across two exciting summits.

It was a pleasure to see Daniel Roddick in action chairing the Emerging Managers Summit and moderating the panel “The Credential Conundrum for Sustainable Investing” with experts Alina Klarner from Impact Shakers, Nicolas Piau from TiLT Capital Partners SAS, and Pau Bermudez from Suma Capital. Putting their heads together, they discussed how first-time fund managers can navigate a lack of track record and inspire commitments to their sustainable investment strategies.

Equally, Francois Bouillon was in full swing hosting the Secondaries Summit, opening the day’s events by moderating the session “The Big Picture on Secondaries”. He picked the brains of Vincent Gombault from Clipway, Paul Sanabria from Manulife Investment Management, Sabina Comis from Dechert LLP, and Nicolas de Nazelle from Omada to explore attitudes towards the increasingly popular asset class from each side of the investment market.
