Gareth brings a wealth of experience in private markets research and will lead Ely Place’s ‘Prospect’ business line – an LP mapping service that streamlines the fundraising process for GPs by identifying high-priority LPs and providing actionable insights into allocation plans for clients’ strategies.

Gareth will also support on Ely Place’s rapidly growing GP Advisory services. This offering complements the placement and secondary advisory business lines by providing tailored support throughout the fundraising cycle: investor relations, fundraising strategy, documentation, pre-marketing and project management.

Gareth’s experience in private markets includes research and advisory roles. He was formerly director of investor marketing at Brackendale Consulting, advising private markets GPs on marketing best practice, including investor newsletters, market reports, blogs, ESG Reports, PPMs and investor presentations. Prior to this, Gareth led LP and fund research at Unquote, tracking global institutions investing into European private equity and venture capital, and oversaw private company research at The Sunday Times Fast Track.
